Last night Lynnea had a rather tiring day and fell asleep around 5ish in the evening. I tried to wake her a few times, but decided to just let the girl sleep. Well, this gave me a lot of much needed one-on-one time with Kaisa. We just sat on the kitchen floor and had a ball. We wore mixing bowls on our heads and called them hats. We practiced our sign language skills and Kaisa learned "hurt" when she bumped her mouth with a bowl. We did animal sounds together. Kaisa makes a fabulous monkey. I'm just amazed at how well Kaisa communicates at just 13 months old. I often feel guilty and sad that I don't spend as much time playing and teaching Kaisa as I did with Lynnea (especially during this age), but it makes me feel better knowing that she is still picking up on things so well. Kaisa is one of those toddlers that loves to be with Momma (real shocker I know), but it's a really fun thing too. She loves to dance with Mommy and cuddle and be tickled. If she could have it her way, she'd be on my hip all day long. It doesn't bother me much though. One day she won't want to snuggle and play with Mommy or give me big juicy baby smoochies. I've really got to live it up now. Well, I love to try to keep track of the signs that Kaisa has learned. Here are some of the ones I can remember seeing her sign: Please, thankyou, more, milk, hurt, Mom, Dad, Bompa/Papa, Grandma, eat, water, bath, ball, finished, fish, cracker & dog.
Yes, I have no problem bragging about my girls. But I'm allowed to because, I do have "Dad's intelligence and Mom's dyslexia" the double whammy! For those of you Williams folk that don't know what that means, I'll give it to you strait. I'm considered the dumb one in the family, but hey I'm still Mom's favorite, so I'll survive. You kids can keep your fancy shmancy E.L.P. This girls got creative genious bursting at the seams. I believe we've all seen those fantastic pot holders that still adorn Mom's kitchen drawer beside the silverware (you know what I'm talking about!) AND well I've gotta go take Lynnea to dance
Peace Out!
