Fun photos on Thanksgiving

My very talented sister-in-law Shannon took some great photos of our family this past Thanksgiving. I really like her style. It has some fun artistic appeal. Thanks Shannon! We love you.

Baby Steps

Yea Kaisa,
She took her first steps tonight. We encouraged her to stand up and then I reached out and she took about 3 little steps towards me. Uncle Dave was there to share in the moment and Kaisa walked to him a couple times too. She was so proud of herself. Every time she stood or walked she clapped for herself and said "AYYY" (yea), asking for applause. Kaisa melts me. I couldn't ask for a more tender loving little girl. But don't be fooled. Kaisa isn't a people pleaser. She'll hit those milestones when she's good and ready.
Congrats Kaisa-you'll be toddling by Christmas and that probably means that the scoot will end completely. That will be Kaisa's gift to her Mom: no scooting=no more pre-treating every pair of pants she wears.

SHE CAN STAND!!!

Yesterday Kaisa surprised all of us by standing up completely unassisted. She's never done it before and she did it over and over as her adoring fans applauded. It's been a hard battle for Kaisa. The booty scoot still appears occasionally, but she's embrassed the crawl completely. I'm confident that if we keep asking her to stand and practice it over and over, she'll be taking steps by the end of the month! Way to go Kaisa! Now, let's get that walk on.

Jacob and. . . What?!!!

Like Father like Daughter. What do you do when your child has a potty mouth and just won't stop? You video tape her, post it on your blog and show it to her when her kids do the same thing. Ok, normally we wouldn't post such a nasty little song, but I think, in a way, Lynnea is giving a shout out to Grandma Johnson and one of her favorite musicals: "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."

Halloweeeeeeee!

We love Halloween! We got to trick-or-treat at Bompa and G-ma's.
Kaisa tried to smooch our witch.
Official pumpkin carving. The orange face is Mac-n-cheese, Kaisa isn't a pumpking eater.
These are some tricksy little fairy princesses. You better watch out!
Kaisa got festive with her Halloween NUK.
Lynnea held her "wand " on the way to the ward carnival. We had a great Halloween!!!
